When it comes to Fukubukuro, you will either get one of 3 types of bags
The first; items from a previous season or collection (each bag is different)
The second; items made specifically for the fuku bag (a set bag for everyone)
The third; a mix of the above
People appear to prefer the second type, when items are new and made for the bag
But me personally, I don't, I can live with the third type where its mixed
When items are picked from a previous season, these are store quality items
They were made to be sold at prices higher than the value of your fukubukuro
When items are made, they are given a RRP, however they are made to the value of the bag
So, items from previous collection... contents worth more than the (usual) 10,500yen
Items made for the bag... contents made to the value of 10,500yen
It's easy for me to just go out and say this and it sound like an opinion
But I do have a little way of proving my theory!!
To do this, let's compare some W♥C sweaters
The grey being from a fukubukuro and the blue bought from store...
Can't you already see some difference?
Size; Not much different but noticeable in the neck
Grey jumper is more like a regular sweater and Blue hangs a bit more off the shoulder
Print; as you can see the grey print is alot more bolder, and takes away from the worn look
Print; a close up here, the print is also, heavier, thicker...
You can see it doesn't have the same look as the store bought item for sure
Thickness; This was hard to prove, but the grey sweater is for sure thinner
I hope I showed the difference here ok, they were both folded in the same way
The grey sweater was tagless but quoted to have the same value as the blur store sweater
Yet they are produced differently, so not of the same value surely?
I'm not trying to bitch about W♥C here
I'm merely showing a difference between the different types of fukubukuro items
and I hope this can help anyone still sitting on the fence about buying the bags!

Me? I spent today on an 8 hour shift at work haha
I celebrated with my man on the weekend as we could both have the time off easier
Work was hectic, I though Cinema dates were common nothing special haha
Though we didn't do anything too special really
We spent time together in Town at the International Market
Drooling over all the amazing foods (usually it's scary, weird meats but it was nice this time!)
and we bought some delicious hand made Italian pastries! Om nom nom
But gifts, I know what you wanna see don't worry hehe

I came home to these roses ♥
He has tried to have the delivered as a suprise before I went to work
But unfortunatly they arrived 15mins or so after my shift started which was a shame
Not that it takes anything away from them of course, they're still Beautiful!

I had been eyeing this for a long time I am so damn happy he listens when I ramble!
and no picture, but I bought him some Converse that were a collaboration with DC comics
There was a Green Lantern pair and thats his favourite superhero
The happy couple...
This month also see's our year and a half anniversary hah
I love my mister so very much and I feel so lucky to have him in my life ♥
and wow, has he been there a long time!
Most couples can explain their meeting easily, but us, it's before we had real memories
We attended Nursery (pre-school) and play school (community activies) together
Through that our families knew each other, so even though we didn't attend
First school together, my cousins and him/his siblings did
We attened Middle school together and here is where we "really" met
Not exactly good friends, but not strangers either, the same for High school!
In High school we studied different languages, which meant our classes were all split
Thats how it worked for timetables and such with is being a large school
We were never friends or such, but knew each other and had a lot of mutual friends
I was... "wierd" in how I dressed and such
I don't blame a lot of people for not being my friend with the image I portrayed haha
and then came 6th Form (College), we were in the same Form class
We also studied British Politics together, it's here where we became good friends!!
He was so sweet back then, typing up notes for me when I missed class and such ♥
Turns out we were a little sweet on each other then, but nothing came of it
Year 2 of 6th Form and I stopped studying Politics, so we drifted apart a little
Then he "graduated" and I didn't, so I stayed to study another year
We saw each other at a couple of parties, always managed to have a good laugh then!
and then I went to Uni and we lost touch for literally years it seems!!
It wasn't until my first Summer home at a party for my best friends new house we met again
I was instantly re-sweetened, I knew straight away it wasn't friend love I had for him
It was something more!!
More parties and nights out ensued, he got Facebook just to chat with me haha
and then after our friends party, he let me borrow his coat to go home in
To pay him back, I bought him The Warriors on DVD
and the rest... is history ♥
The time has finally come as my 2011 lucky bags arrived this morning!!
It's been so long since I ordered them, they were released etc..
But buying such heavy items through a shipping service isn't easy
Though some how it ended up cheapest to just ship them in one box together
Not that I didn't avoid around £27 of customs to pay on top of it lol
On to the bags!
W♥C, SBY and GLAD NEWS bags
(With some other W♥C goodies!)
SBY bag was around 3,000yen and just contained typical girly colourful SBY goods!
Not overly impressed, especially by the giant unicorn hahaha
But thats how these things work, you dont know what youre going to get until you get it!
GLAD NEWS was a set bag with only one mystery item, mine was the T-shirt
Though un-labelled it's a Small for sure, I can get it on but it looks... well small haha
and those Jeggings/Pankinsu, what ever you call them, so much hilarity
I know a lot of gaijin have since sold theirs on since they were small
But I will be a fool and keep them whilst I lose weight again... who knows? Haha
and the W♥C bag!! All bags were a mystery so I was excited, scared, worried all at once!
But I think I did rather well!
Everyond got along the lines of 3 clothing pieces, 1 accessory and then a deco sticker
Some bags got shoes... though sizing would be a problem and they were a bit ugly hah
The Leopard skirt is a bit large! Not in size to wear, but in... girth? Haha huge!
and I was SO happy to get the shorts, especially since they were a Medium!
I had really wanted these anyway, though weight loss is needed
The tube top won't fasten over my boobs, Im not a tube top person anyway
and now I have both the beige and the pink leopard Usamimi!
They are on sale on the webstore still for less than 1,000yen but they havent sold out?!
Whats up with that?
and finally

Leopard bow and some socks!
Finally got some none striped socks hah
The bow is a bit... massive. I'm a little unsure about it at the moment
Wondering if it looks a little to over the top hehe

God damn hair, why does it start with little thoughts like
"oh, I need my fringe trimming" then it just snow balls into you stood with scissors
"IM CUTTING IT ALL OFF AND LIVING IN WIGS!!" ...surely it's not just me?!
Or maybe I just bother too much
Especially since when I was in my early teens, I changed my hair constantly
Now, I've had a bob for about... 2years
This is so not me, and I guess it's driving me a little bit crazy
I have a few main problems to pin point with my hair, the first is styling
I'm not good at styling what so ever, when I had short hair, it was wasy... wax and go!
Now my hairs longer, I find myself straigtening and doing nothing more!
So I am always shocked when Formspring questions come in requesting tutorials
Because I do nothing, nothing at all to my hair except straigten it!
A while ago I tried to curl my hair and it was so strange
The left side curled into nice 'ringlets' but the right side... weird floppy loose curls
It was as if the right side was just un able to curl, I really can't understand!
So my dreams of curly Tsubasa hair seemed shattered
How can only one side of my hair curl?! I would try a curling iron or rollers
But I'm sure it's not a tool problem, it's a hair problem, so it would be wasteful
Another thing is I just do not understand how to do French Braids
Nor do I seem to know anyone that can do them either, they were really popular in the past year
I still really want to try out the first one in this page...
Even with a tutorial I'm like... "Whut?!" Haha hair all over!
Another problem is my cut and my OCD about my cut
I do not like layers or thinning even though my hair is very thick
It makes me hair frizzy, fluffy, messy and the front curves forward alot more too
So its just out the question for me lol
But with the length that I have now, it's hard to maintain a nice bob style
To me a perfect bob stays curled under at all times, but the way my hair lays
it touches my upper back (not that much) and sits there, and curls out
So, the best way to get a perfect bob at all times, is to have a short bob
Which sounds all well and good "What are you moaning for, doesn't this solve everything?"
Lol no I'm complicated!
and this is where the rambling and blab really starts!!
I'd like to grow my hair out longer, I've seen longer bobs too and I wonder
Once hair grows past the stage where it no longer rests on your shoulders/upper back
Can you curl the under in a bob style and have it last?
Detsu has a lovely length here and it's reaslistically acheivable
The main issue is that awkward horrible growing out phase
Not that I've had worse growing out from various short lengths including bald lol
But I just hate the non co-operative stage you have to be stuck with for ages
So then the crazy in me starts and I go against everything I've said so far and I'm like..
GIVE ME LAYERS, ASYMMETRY AND SHORTS :B
Frankie from The Saturdays has lovely hair
But going short again, my word I don't think I could... it's so scary to do it again hah
When it's your first time you don't care because you don't realise the stress of growing it hah
Also short hair with work, its good because I dont have to wear my hair up
But bad because I have to wear a baseball hat ALL the time, I would look like a boy
A boy with moobs... ROFL
Then my mind goes back to around this time last year when I had my weave
Ahhh the weave it was so lovely!
But weaves, extensions, all things lovely and fake do leave you with hassle
Your styles are limited to mostly down, since high up do's reveal your bonds etc
Not to mention care and of course price, it was over £100 for my weave, cant remember the full
andd your real hair need to be layered and thinned, it took me months to grow these out
Much longer than I had the weave in for! As mentioned above, I don't like layers
So having to live with them for that long was crap
Removing the weave itself was hell, I'll never forget my mum coming home
To find me sat on the floor, watching Gremlins, with a bowl of hair next to me
as I sat cutting the length off the weave and blathering my scalp in glue remover
But despite that, my love has been restores by Kanako
My word her hair is looking so lovely! I am actually in love!
Though with my colour, I guess I'd look alot more Momoko
Pfft I wish...
Right now I really can't justify getting a weave because of the cost
Long hair is also a work problem with having it up
Plus, all that money on hair and I have to spend most of my time hiding it under a hat?

Last installment of my W♥C Spring catalogue thoughts
Seems everyones liking a piece or too! I don't blame you hehe
It's going to be hard to resist some things for sure
and over at WC Shinbun I have all the catalogue images
complete with alisting of the items available, their price and where possible a link to the store!
THOSE PANTS. Get in my life. So garish but can't help but love them!
The shoes as well are just perfect, so much show love to come this season
When I saw the crown in this picture, I persumed it was just for the shoot
It reminded me a lot of Chinatsu's Big Bang torch (as that too is a yellow crown)
But I was shocked to see it listed as an item and then it went to sell out on the webstore!!
It's not an item I can see being wearable at all, I look forward to seeing how people wear it
I wonder if anyone can make it look anything more than a knitted cracker hat...
Hitting the nail on the head with the Vintage theme here
Not an outfit I would wear but the whole look is just lovely
Also expect new glasses this season, more rounded apposed to last seasons square style
At first I thought the stocking were just alterred tights from last season, but nope
They are stockings for this season!! I can see them being just as popular
perhaps eve more popular, than the tights themselves!

Super cute picture, it was so selling me that jumper but I couldn't afford it
W♥C is still wallet burning us this season for sure heh
Hopefully it can be mine in time... also would love to have those nails!
The rings are a bit, meh, but rings that have been released so far haven't done well
There is the 3 finger ring due this season, it wasn't a main feature in the catalogue
But it was listed as an item worn in one image, so it's certainly on its way!
Not a one piece but a set of seperate 'ethnic' pieces, I feel a one piece would have been better
The jacket I can imagine being popular, its very Chinatsu in style
and the boots... no mention of them as of yet!
They are not the same fur boots from last season, these are a different shape
But no confirmation as to whether or not they are for sale yet!

A similar shirt was released last season with plaid accents, the decked sneakers too
Another not so nice outfit, those shorts and suspenders... oh my, not for me!!
The sweater I liked, nice and retro looking. But nope for anything else
Shoes in this images arent clear or mentioned... I wouldnt be surprised if they cropped up
I can see W♥C printed canvas shoes in the future of the brand for sure!
and last but not least! A super pretty black piece!
Can't wait to see this onepiece uncovered, but again no wedge mention
Such shoe teasing, I hope it's a case of them not being announced online
