Blackberry deco

Everyone loves deco ♥
Well hopefully, or my blog could be a tad boring! hehe

Today I received a Blackberry case bought for my friend's upcoming birthday
and I wanted to share it because I was so shocked with the quality
After buying my own case and it being mostly a sticker with poorly glued rhinestones
I was a bit skeptical about buying another case from eBay
But this was a totally different matter

The case has been covered in pink glitter so there are no gaps to show the case
All the stones seem sturdy and it has great coverage
It cost me £8.49 for the case with free postage
and I bought it from the Bbling club
If you or anyone you know wants a deco'd case, I recommend this shop!

I'm just waiting to hear back from the seller I bought my plain case from
as it's meant to have an inbuilt screen protector and it doesn't
I'm so gutted because I really wanted to start my Kumatan deco!!

I'm so impatient at the moment it's untrue!
I've a W♥C hoard coming my way, but it may not be here for a while yet
on Friday I'm having my annual visit to the Vivienne Westwood boutique
and it's my birthday in 6 days! I'm eating at TGI Friday's for the first time too
...oooooooooo, hurry up o((;>口<;))o *wriggle* I may also have another fashion re-work coming your way! ♪

Hair hair hair

As recently mentioned, I was hoping to dye my hair orange
However, long story short I didn't end up just slapping the dye on as planned
Instead I mixed a little bit with a permanent Auburn colour
Though this, made my hair brown
I was, and still am so so so gutted!!
I had spent ages stripping my hair colour, I really don't want it to be dark again

Unhappy with the lack of orange I took matters into my own hands
and I just lathered all the orange dye onto myself
It was so messy and I literally got it everywhere
(my boyfriend had to help clean me hahaha)

But here, is the results...

Sorry for the lack of face, I'm makeupless today lol

It's a tad lighter in more brighter light
So I guess you can see the orange

But it is a far cry from my aim...

Someday, someday ★
I'm sure I'll be stripping the dye again soon
I just really do not want dark hair right now (´┏_┓`)

Kumatan deco; camera

Stage one of my Kumatan camera deco is complete!

Using 3mm mixed AB stones
I'm going to need some smaller to fill the gaps, but they're such a hassle
It will probably remain like this for a while haha

I don't know if I should do my Blackberry case like this too
Or use white stones... we'll see!!

Fashion and music

If there's one thing I think many have been made aware of by Lady Gaga
It's that music and fashion go hand in hand
Though, in fairness it shouldn't have taken Gaga for you to realise this

Growing up I was heavily into alternative styles and it seemed each had it's "own" music
as I've got older, my music taste has genuinelly just exploded and I listen to almost every genre
Though it does leave me wondering... what is the music of Gal?

Firstly, 渋谷系 (Shibuya kei) springs to mind
Being that Shibuya is the meccha for Gal, it seems rather obvious
This genre is dominated by Yasutaka Nakata, the owner of record label Contemode
and he is associated with almost all it's acts; Capsule, Coltemonikha, MEG, Perfume, etc..

Click here to listen to "more more more" by CAPSULE

Secondly, there's a particular artisit. Her name is JASMINE
Poster from her first tour of Zepp arena's
She debuted her first single "Sad to say" last year, fortunately when myself and Bloomzy were in Japan
and I am so glad Bloomzy noticed her song being played because JASMINE has since grown to be one of my favourite artist's
She has a hip hop, R&B style and has only just released her debut album "GOLD"

So, is this the music of Gal?
I still don't really know, what are your opinions?
Perhaps Gal doesn't particulary own a specific music scene at all...

A fashion re-work

Finally I can write this entry, I have been waiting for a while to get this up hehe
One reason why being I wasn't sure how to word what had happened
So incase you can't follow from the subject of the blog, let me explain!

Whilst cleaning I found a stash of my old clothes, they were things I left behind when I first went to Uni
and I honestly forgot all about them!
One item was a top I had bought from River Island a long time ago and only worn once
Now I am a little older, and my style has changed so much, it was really fresh to see it with new potential

So, let's start with how the top was originally worn
Old picture ahoy...
Haha, yes, that is me lol this was in 2007 I think
It was my first time hitting the clubs and I was clearly not very aware of what to wear
I paired the top with black jeans and some horrendous pink Mary Janes, thankfully not pictured!

and in the present day?
The top has been re-worked into a rather sexy onepiece ♥

Hello Kumatan! ♪

I tried to style is casually in the pictures, I didn't want to seem too "sexy" showing you it just in heels hah
But that also made me realise it could be quite versitile regardless of when worn!

Having this discovery really brought a smile to my face (≧∪≦)
It was nice to compare how I used to look, to how I look now
and whilst I'm still not the most confident person, seeing how I had grown too, it was really nice
Whilst I still really want to improve my look, especially towards Gal, I have to say
For the first time in my life I am quite happy with how I am (⌒∀⌒) yay!

Also, a big welcome to my new followers ★
I persume you are all from the link at Bloomzy's giveaway, so I wish you all luck!

Tackling a gal fear

Last month I posted my first Gal fear in what's holidng me back
and that was all about my makeup, you can see the original here
Since then my collection has grown a little...
Dream matte mousse foundation, Barry M blusher
YSL concealer, Maybelliene mascara and lipsticks
The best part is that the foundation, concealer and mascara were all donated from my mum
She had them hidden from me all this time, but I am grateful for the money saver ♪

At first I was so afraid of the blusher, I ordered it from the Barry M website
So I didn't really know what it would look like, so when it arrived so bright
I was really really scared haha, the first few times I used it, it didn't look so good
Then I realised with this product less is definitely more
I use one sweep with the brush supplied and then apply it in an almost heart shape
one theres not blush left on the brush I use it to blend
and now I've gone from fearing it, to loving it ♥♥♥
I would definitely reccomend it to you all, I really want to try their orange next

But enough blab, do you want to see my makeup improvements?
Let's start with a blank canvas...
Oh, hai. lol

and now, here's everything but the lipstick (with my Mac gel liner too)
I even tried doing little flicks, not that you can see them all that well lol

Next is with the Barry M lip paint I bought
I really really wanted a nude lipstick but now I'm thinking it may not be for me
In the UK it's harder to pull lips like these off because of our Chav culture
Many girls in this culture are heavily tanned with nude lips, they're spoiling it for us haha

Now is with the Lady Gaga Viva Glam Mac ♪
I got this in Manchester Airport on my way to Egypt and I am so glad I did
Until I used it I was thinking "I spent £10 I didn't have on a lipstick, what have I done?!"
But damnnn, I love it so much ♥

I know I still have a lot I can improve, but I am really liking what I've acheived so far
If you have any, and I mean any, constructive critism I am more than happy to listen
Though I think it may take a little more confidence
before I ever consider posting on everyday_gyaru... so scary!

Rule Breaking; Kaoru and hair

2 posts in one day? I couldn't resist hehe

Kaoru is esentially the queen of Rule Breaking within Gyaru ★
and with strong challengers such as Nonoka and Kanako trying to take her spotlight
She blows them all away with her latest hair

You go girl, so fierce ♥

Hair colour is always disputed in Gal and there seems to be a "rule" that natural shades are the best
But I think Kaoru can and will prove to us all that you can be just as fabulous with what ever colour you want!
We must also never forget the Manba's with their wild hair, though Gal has moved on
It's always fun to re-visit our roots (^_-)☆wink

and that is something, with confidence from Kaoru, that I did!
From the age of 13 I began dying my hair any colour I could
I started with pink and eventually went through every colour except for blue!!
The last time I had such daring hair was in the year before I start Univeristy
when I had black hair with a pink and purple fringe
But during a short stay at University as part of a taster course I was called Emo
and it made me not want the hair anymore
and since then I had only ever dyed it browns, reds and for a short time it was ginger

Right now I am in possesion of a "Crazy Color" dye in Orange

I do have the balls to do it, but my mum won't let me risk it myself
So now I have to wait a week for an appointment, I feel so impatient!
Wish me luck? (*ゝω・)ノ♥♥♥

Everyone love's the postman

Especially when they deliver your first ever W♥C goods!

I bought all the deco stickers and received a catalogue too♪

I had wanted the stickers for quite a while and so I thought I'd just bite the bullet and get them
Though now, I'm not too sure where to use them all (⌒▽⌒;) hehe
I really wanted one on my camera, but Kumatan's head is a little too big for it
So I tried a body piece out...

Does this look ok? I can't tell if having him sideways looks odd
Having a green camera can be awkward at these times lol
I wouldn't have the W♥C stuck on too, they're just still attached to the sheet~
I would deco around him too, with either plain or a mix/rainbow colours once I get the chance
I wish his head piece would fit on, I think it would have looked so cool! ★

I was considering taking on a rather large deco project with my mirror
My grandad made it and I decorated it when I was 14, and clearly obsessed with Murderdolls hah
The only problem is, this mirror is at home and I live away at University most of the year
So I wouldn't want to use my epic stickers and spend time decoing something I rarely use

One thing is for certain, once I have better funds I will be doing a W♥C case for my Blackberry ★
Especially since the one I bought from eBay is rather poor quality
I lost a few stones on it whilst travelling to/around Egypt, such a shame!

Where would you use your sparkly Kumatan's?
Does anyone else have them? Or are you just lusting for them? (●・ω・●)

Rule breaking; Shoes and Shibuhara

Ah rule breaking, I love thee so ♥
Incase you're new, let me brief you about this entry!

Basically, the rule breaking theme is a series of entries all about bending those mythical Gal boundaries
"This isn't Gal, that isn't gal" ...I say make your own Gal ★
Interested? Check out the tag and carry on reading hehe

To start with, there's the "rule" that Gal = heels, heels and ONLY heels
This is far from the truth as seen in the August edition of PopSister with their sneaker take over
There was a lot of lovely designs featured too that I will Tumblr
I was especially in love with a pair of wedged leopard Converse All Stars ♥

Another shoe that caught my eye in PopSister was this
A military boot!
These have been the height of fashion in the UK
It somehow never crossed my mind that I would see them in Japan
They're very mannish in style, which is why I never bought any
Yet they're carried off great in this co-ordinate
I have to give Kudos to those that can make them feminine!

Moving on, after the luck I had whilst reading KERA not so long ago I decided to see what else I could find
and I had an apple fall on the head moment with realisation that the gal within KERA is a relation to ShibuHara style
as pointed out to me in PopSister
Shibuhara style basically takes elements from Harajuku with Shibuya styling
The best Rule Breaking formula around! ★
For a more in depth look about the style I reccomend this LiveJournal entry and Mitsu's entry

Let's have some examples as Gal invades KERA once more

Clear Gal elements to this outfit, and a lot of Gal models sport this bag
I can't remember the brand, but I'm starting to really want it ↓ ↓

A Summer Style double spread, that to me, looks so odd in KERA
You can really see the Shibuya influence here with the maxi dress trend, denim shirts and the final piece

and also
Not excessively Gal, but I can see Usamimi Bunny Bands sneaking their way in
They were a feature item later in the magazine too ★
I hope they are used more, I'd love to see what KERA can do with them!

I was recently asked if perhaps KERA was a magazing worth adding to your reading list if you are a Gal
If you're personally interested in Punk and Lolita styles then sure, it can be interesting and fun to look through
But as for the Gal and Shibuya elements, what I posted was literally all I managed to see from the entire issue
So if you expect more or don't really fancy reading cutlery glasses tutorials, then I guess it's not for you

I always download my magazine scans from the amazing ElectroxCute at LiveJournal ♥

Back to the UK

Hello everybody! I am back from Egypt ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ タダイマァ
I have to say, it wasn't the best of times as I was ill the day we arrived
and I am still feeling ill at this moment!

But no one could possibly feel sad, or down
after they have swum with dolphins and visited Cairo ♪

Oh, and having my man come over at 3am when we got home
So he could greet me with this beautiful bunch of pink roses
